Love to travel? Love to write? You can do both as a Jet-setting Copywriter!

Want to run a successful business as a freelance writer - and use the profits to explore the planet?

Imagine working 7-8 months a year and spending the other months gallivanting around the globe. That's exactly what I do, month after month, year after year - and I wrote The Jet-setting Copywriter to show you how you can create the same incredible lifestyle.

Copywriting (writing copy for businesses) is in huge demand worldwide, but many writers still struggle to find high-paying clients, market themselves properly and make decent money (we're talking $4000-$10,000 a month for work you can do at home in your jammies).

It's easy to make mistakes when you're first starting out - and many writers do. This comprehensive guide will show you how to start and run your freelance writing business the right way, so you can fund your own adventures as soon as possible.

Because freelance writing is a portable profession that allows you to work from almost anywhere on earth, it's an ideal 'means to an end' business. You can be your own boss, create your own hours and have the freedom to pursue a more fulfilling lifestyle. Whether you want to buckle down and earn a six-figure income, write part-time as a stay-at-home parent or do what I do (explore the world's remotest rivers and enjoy several vacations a year), copywriting can help you get there - if you know where to start.

The Jet-setting Copywriter eBook is packed with real-world tips based on my own experiences as a successful freelancer. There is no theory here. You'll learn exactly what works and what doesn't in creating a freelance writing business from scratch. If you're still searching for that ever-elusive work/life balance, this book could change your life.

Searching for jaguar, puma and tapir tracks along the remote and beautiful Tuichi River in the jungles of northern Bolivia.

The only way in or out of the isolated 'River with No Name' in the Kimberley region of Australia was by helicopter. I spent 27 days alone here, packrafting from this waterfall down to the sea.

Are you ready for a new adventure?

Step 1:

Decide you want a real income, enjoyable and challenging work and a flexible, adventurous lifestyle that lets you live on your own terms.

Step 2:

Spend a paltry $9.99 AUD of your hard-earned money on The Jet-setting Copywriter. Your PDF eBook will be downloaded to you within seconds.      (Book details: 81 pages, 30,000+ words, published June 2016)

Step 3:

Learn how to become a Jet-setting Copywriter and waste no time in creating a profitable freelance writing business. Use that money to go reef fishing in Belize, sail around Fiji, visit Austrian castles - whatever.

Step 4:

When you've finally 'made it', send me one of those horribly cliched photos of you sitting on the pure white sands of a Tahitian beach with your laptop, pretending to be working....

The Jet-setting Copywriter includes some brilliant travel tips. This beach hut on the island of Savaii (Samoa) was $40 a night, including  breakfast and dinner. The snorkelling was superb right off the beach.

What others are saying about The Jet-setting Copywriter -

"Probably one of the best books on freelance writing I’ve ever read - and I’ve read a few... extremely useful. This copywriting book is the best value you can get for your time and money. Attracting high-paying clients and identifying lucrative markets is key and Kevin explains exactly how to do this.”

Jason Swain,

“As a blogger and self-published author, I was keen to break into the world of freelance writing, mainly so I could have more choice and freedom around work, with a view to being location independent. I found The Jet-setting Copywriter immensely readable and chock full of real, actionable strategies and tactics for breaking into the freelance market. I can highly recommend this book to other freelancers who are looking for a useful and practical ‘how to’ guide. Kevin knows his stuff - and it shows!”

Diane Lee, The Diane Lee Project,

“Cuts to the chase... tightly focused. Get it and get started.”

Chris Backe,

The Jet-setting Copywriter is just the book I have been looking for. It simplified the whole process for me, especially about how to get clients. This is a great resource for any copywriter (especially a newbie) as you also learn which lucrative markets to target. Highly recommended.”

Juliet Emem,

"This book is great - Kevin touches on all the crucial aspects: how to jump-start your writing career, find high-paying clients and organize your time and finances. What I liked best was how he goes deep into the practical aspects of how to perform professionally, giving firsthand, real-life examples and step-by-step advice that's proven to work. I personally appreciated this, since out of the many books I've read in the past, this is the first one that allowed me to make a list of what I need to do right now (and what pieces are missing) to start writing immediately. It's all written in a straightforward, easy to follow style - absolutely recommended for anyone interested in making a real living from freelance writing!"

The Over-40 Digital Nomad: A Practical Guide for Mature-age Global Adventurers

When you close your eyes and try to visualise a digital nomad, what image immediately springs to mind? Is it a smiling 20-year-old sitting on a palm-fringed beach with a laptop perched across their knees? Probably - because this is the default stereotype for this lifestyle.

But in the real world, things are a little different. There are a surprising number of successful online nomads in their 40s, 50s and beyond, running profitable, location-independent businesses while roaming the planet and living the life they choose. These intrepid wanderers are the forgotten demographic.

The Over-40 Digital Nomad: A Practical Guide for Mature-age Global Adventurers is a BS-free blueprint for location-independent entrepreneurs – of any age. It outlines the most important practical aspects of how to become a globe-trotting freelancer and provides firsthand advice from a number of over-40 nomads who are out there right now, living their dreams, controlling their destinies and redefining what it means to be ‘at work’.

They are online English teachers, Web developers, virtual assistants, SEO writers, translators, social media marketers, programmers, consultants, e-commerce experts and much more, basing themselves wherever wanderlust takes them. They crew yachts in New Zealand, work out of apartments in Budapest, house-sit in Tuscany and leverage their wealth of life experience to do it all in style.

Some of today’s mature remote workers were combining work and travel even before the term ‘digital nomad’ was in common use. In many ways, they’re the pioneers of the DN movement. Others are late bloomers, deciding on this lifestyle later in life and leveraging accumulated years of business acumen to forge new and exciting portable careers. There is no ideal age to become a digital nomad; the perfect time is when it feels right for you – whether you’re 22 or 52.

The Over-40 Digital Nomad outlines the steps to take and the mistakes to avoid in creating your own freelancing lifestyle. In it you’ll discover:

♦  The 7 location-independent myths you should know about before taking the plunge

♦  Finding your niche – the most common (and profitable) nomad-friendly professions

♦  How to manage your money like a pro – whatever country you’re living in

♦  The experience factor - what are the advantages of being a mature-age freelancer?

♦  Legalities – how to navigate visas, taxes, insurance, foreign laws and red tape

♦  Charging what you’re worth - the art of negotiating sustainable ‘living wage’ fees for your services

♦  International house sitting, caretaking and other ways to travel longer for less

♦  Working smarter – no-nonsense productivity tips that can make you more profitable

♦  Health in foreign lands – how to stay on top of fitness and medical issues

♦  How active is your passive income strategy? Proven tips for generating extra income streams

♦  Tech talk - essential gear every seasoned nomad should take with them

♦  Best of the best – the cream of books and online resources for aspiring DNs

♦  Plus tips, advice and interviews with mature-age entrepreneurs like these:

The drone-packing film-maker and his writer wife who drove a van across Europe and Canada while slowly building their online businesses

The escapee from the corporate world who swapped her 14-year career in IT management for adventures in Antarctica, Nepal, Alaska and Mongolia

The country-hopping family of four who juggle three income-producing businesses (including writing children’s books) and cart Scuba gear wherever they go

The marketing and communications professional who loves “visiting clients in the hills of northern Italy, discussing content strategies and website design while drinking wine and eating good food”

The sixty-something travel writer and photographer who has visited 77 countries and owned a range of businesses, from a corporate PR firm to a snow-cone food kiosk in a Puerto Rico water park

The former commodities broker who now runs an eBay store, doing $30,000-$40,000 per month in sales from a small beach town in Thailand – in his board shorts

This book is for anyone who has every wanted to create their own location-independent business and explore the world on the profits. Whether you’re a mature-age adventurer seeking a more flexible lifestyle or a younger traveller wondering how location independence is accomplished ‘old-school-style’, The Over-40 Digital Nomad can help you get started.

Australian Bush Survival Skills is back - as an eBook!

In 2000, I wrote and published Australian Bush Survival Skills - the most comprehensive survival manual ever produced for Australian conditions. Eventually, as most books do, it became 'out of print' (this was before the days of easy print-on-demand capabilities - I was paying for the cost of printing myself). Around 2004, I moved away from print publishing and got into wilderness film-making, so I let the book run out of existing copies and 'die a natural death'.

Over the years, many people have asked me to bring this book back. In 2016, I decided to resurrect this classic survival reference as an eBook. The new version has been revised and updated where applicable (for example, more people use sat phones than HF radios in the outback now), but it is essentially the same book as the 16-year-old print version. I only had to revise about 2% of it. The main difference is that I've dispensed with the (mostly decorative) photos, all the ads for outdoor gear and services and my hopelessly amateurish diagrams and line drawings. The eBook is now text-only. Where explanatory diagrams have been removed, links to appropriate resources and YouTube videos have taken their place. All the same great information is still there, but it has now been revamped and re-published as a much more affordable eBook.

Instead of paying $24.95 for the original print book, you can now get the eBook for $9.99 AUD!

Book details: Downloadable PDF file format, 172 pages, 70,000+ words, published as an eBook July 2016
